SIXTY MINUTES

We met today
A random day
She took me to task
Of unveiling her mask
She laughed
I smiled
She chuckled
I listened
And down the street we strolled
Following the scent in the wind
Unsteady heartbeat; palpating
Breathing in the freshness of
Our acquaintance
She took me down
Down her life’s road
Of her untold history
Her concealed story
Yeah; I explored
In sixty minutes:-
Drowning in her past dregs
Bitter endings
Terrible brokenness
Intriguing pain of lost serenity
Her life lived on the edge
Pushed hard
By human beasts on transit
Then confession
Confessions of her untold love
Threesome love;
Love of her daughter, mother and self
And deeper I probed
Unveiling the wild
Untamed hurting soul
The look in her eyes:
Beautiful eyes, tear bursting banks
Words dancing like a caged parrot
Momentarily our worlds merge
Her tears reflects mine
Her helplessness kicks my guts
But I can’t surrender to this enchantment
This whirlwind we are wallowing in
So I close my eyes and smile back
For I know where this road ends.
